The Metal Element and the journey of Return

Progress is often marked by a slow return to original sincerity.

The eclipse portals, some of the most powerful evolutionary gateways we experience here in our earth skins, can act on us like giant slingshots, hurtling us forward along our timelines, or calling us in and back to the point of our origin.

Under the not-to-subtle energies of last weekend’s lunar eclipse, we were most certainly dragged under, down and back to the core part of us that essentially remains unchanged, even as we move through different skins, lifetime to lifetime. The ancients called it a return to our original sincerity.

This a beautiful way to say progress feels slow because for a moment you lost who you were.

In the waning light of a deep return such as this eclipse granted comes an opportunity to revise our intentions, our current commitment to this or that, and if those things serve us today as they once did. Through this new lens, we can align anew our intention and commitment to the truth of what we are actually capable of achieving.

You see it’s a moving definition.

Like a flower that turns inwards to regenerate after blossoming, we too strengthen our stems when we turn in and recognise our responsibility for all that unfolds in our lives. Seeing our obstruction 'out there' as revealing the closed doors ‘in here. In this way, we carve off the illusions of the past and prepare ourselves to flower again another day.

To return like this, to the bottom of the well, to the hard round shell of the seed, ensures the essence of all we bring forward will only get brighter from here.

Its valley is its blessing.
