Nature & the Spirit

Beyond the Edge

We are considerably more than modernity would have us believe. Extending across multiple lifetimes, identities, and histories, we are older and more expansive than the boundaries of this carbon form might suggest. We are consciousness discovering our weave within the greater field of all things, carrying a memory of where we have been and what we are here to learn, understand, teach, and become.

The path of spiritual inquiry is, at its heart, a practice of remembering this belonging, allowing what is luminous, intuitive, and timeless to move with us here on Earth.

As that remembrance deepens in each of us, the illusion of separateness softens in direct proportion. The work then is no longer mine or yours alone, but part of a larger movement in which each of us contributes to the evolution of something far greater.

The Long Breath

A Guided Practice

The Long Breath guided spring pranayama and meditation practice exploring breathwork, the Five Elements and the Wood Element.

Here on the first of Springs New Moons, we call the energy that creates mountains and contains oceans, we draw from the deep roots of the trees, and from nature’s diversity and inclusion.

This is a process of clearing and grounding, of opening to the spring time, Wood energy cycle and dreaming in the New Earth frequencies on a personal and a collective level.

Pranayama includes Ujjai breath, Kaphlabhakti (bellows breath), breath holds and Anuloma (extended exhalation)

Breath inhabits the space between the visible and invisible worlds, belonging wholly to the body yet impossible to actually hold. Pranayama and meditation work at this threshold, quieting the dominance of the thinking mind and opening us to the subtler dimensions of ourselves, where intuition, memory and deeper forms of knowing become easier to hear.

Pranayama for the Light Body

Pranayama and guided visual practices take us beyond the familiar boundary of the thinking mind, cultivating stillness and sensitivity through which the subtler dimensions of ourselves can be remembered and known.

Into the Mystery

Some things can only be known through experience. Meditation, breathwork, and embodied practice offer ways of moving beyond the familiar edges of perception and into a more conscious relationship with the unseen.
